Catherine Robinson

I started working with Joe in the Rising Stars Program after getting rejected from my high school spring musical. Already lacking confidence, this rejection made me question if singing was something I should be spending my time doing. Now, as a graduate from Oberlin Conservatory and Roosevelt University with my Bachelors and Masters in music, I can confidently say that I would not be here without the training I received with Joe at Santaniello Vocal Studios and Rising Stars Performing Arts.

Joe's heavy emphasis on strong technique and performance skills gave me the tools to get accepted to many top conservatories across the country, play a multitude of leading roles, and travel internationally singing. Specifically, the studio classes offered throughout the year were the biggest aid in my career. They helped to hone my skills as a singer, actor, and musician. When starting my degree programs, faculty commented on my strong technical foundation, wide knowledge of repertoire and my use of IPA and language. Joe is an incredible teacher and mentor, and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have pursued two degrees in music.
