Connor Armstrong

Rediscovering my passion for theatre in 10th grade was no easy feat, and I felt lost trying to figure out how to improve on my own. Luckily, a close friend introduced me to Joe and I quickly joined his studio after a few trial lessons during the summer stock show Pippin. I was able to improve my then limited singing range, and no longer felt tired or sick after the intense tech weeks of my future shows.

Not only did Joe help me use my instrument in a healthier way, but also gave my voice the confidence it needed to shine. He assigned me songs that I could truly connect with, and showed me how my voice could tell a story. While I’ve only spent 2 years in SVS- it’s felt like a lifetime with how much i’ve grown, and how much I depend on his dropbox full of vocal warmups for everywhere I go. I feel like I can march into the professional world with an instrument that represents who I truly am, and with the repertoire to back it up.
